Spring has sprung and Headway is beaming

In addition to our cognitive reablement groups, Headway also offers peer support groups. These groups focus on shared experiences and lived experience support running alongside our knowledgable staff's input. 

Over the past few weeks now that the weather has (finally) brightened up, our social groups have been venturing outside and enjoying a spot of lunch. The value of simply being with others who are in a similar position is never underestimated here at Headway and we have created a new service that offers a social support group called "Connections". These groups are run by a staff member but with an emphasis on peer support, building social connections and peer support. Groups run from all of our hub locations and are a low cost alternative for those that are not eligible for social care support.
