Counselling at Headway Kent

At Headway Kent, we offer integrative counselling. This means we draw on more than one therapeutic approach so we can adapt to the person, not expect the person to adapt to the therapy.

Why This Matters at Headway Kent

Brain injury is complex. So is the emotional impact on individuals, partners, parents, children and carers.

An integrative approach allows us to:

  • Adjust pace for cognitive fatigue
  • Work sensitively with trauma
  • Support identity reconstruction
  • Balance emotional safety with deeper exploration
  • Tailor sessions to neurological needs

We believe therapy should feel safe, thoughtful and adapted — not rigid.

You are more than your injury. And your therapy should reflect that.

Supervision and Clinical Governance

All counselling delivered at Headway Kent operates within a robust clinical governance framework aligned to the standards of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
