Farewell and Thank You to Gloria – Our Social Work Student from CCCU

This week, we say a heartfelt goodbye to Gloria, who has completed her 70-day placement with Headway Kent as part of her BA (Hons) Social Work course at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Over the past four months, Gloria has become a valued member of our team. She built strong, compassionate relationships with our Headway members and demonstrated a real commitment to understanding the complex, long-term effects of brain injury. Her placement explored not only the individual challenges faced by survivors, but also the wider impact on families, communities, and the social care system as a whole.

Gloria now moves on to the next stage of her professional journey, taking with her invaluable insight and first-hand experience that will undoubtedly inform her future practice and advocacy work.

We’re incredibly grateful for her time, energy, and contributions – and we wish her every success as she continues her path into social work.
